At Mr Walter’s Groom Room, we are passionate about supporting and encouraging fellow local businesses. We know how much time, effort and energy goes into running a small business and we just wanted a page that helped to give a little boost to some of the Wirral businesses, which have been kind and supportive to us.
Cakes By The Lakes
Cakes By The Lakes were the very first business to support us when we were starting up. The lovely lady who works there took one of our posters and a handful of business cards and we actually got one of our first ever bookings as a result of this. They are a homemade traditional cake, breakfast and sandwich & salad bar cafe. They are at 397 Upton Road, just past Windermere Road, which is the reason for their name. They sell the most delicious range of hot meals, cakes, scones and buns, all presented beautifully, at a very reasonable price. Customers can dine in or select the takeaway option and the staff are incredibly friendly. What’s more, they are dog-friendly too so please give them a try.
AC Autotech
You often hear people saying how hard it is to find a reliable, trustworthy car mechanic. Adam is definitely that! He has worked on both of our cars numerous times and he has never been anything but honest and fair. Based in Lingdale Road in Claughton, AC Autotech are highly recommended if you ever have car troubles.

Dogs Go
Walter has had some amazing times and great fun at Dogs Go. They offer Doggy Day Care, amazing play sessions and doggy birthday parties. They also do training sessions and a number of other dog events, so click on their logo to take a look at their website. They really are a great Wirral-based company!
And on the subject of reliable car mechanics, Gareth and Andy, who work closely with Adam from AC Autotech are just that. They do all of our MOT tests and are friendly and helpful. Also based in Lingdale Road, Claughton, they are well worth a call if you need any help when it comes to cars.
